re: resentment of "market-dominant minorities" in the case of high-verbal intellectuals against nerd techies. I think this same resentment works not only now but for several generations now against successful businessmen and entrepreneurs (the bourgeoisie is the Marxist pejorative). Why should they, who are not nearly so smart as we are, get all the power and status in society?

I think that Steve had a chip on his shoulder about the whole "US establishment" after they cancelled him from Michigan State, and not-so-secretly hopes that China (and Russia) win the future, rather than the "woke" United States. With due respect to Steve, this is a silly take, while wokeness is really one of the worst things, China and Russia have their own problems.
