Sorry! It turns out that substack does not forward audio to podcast platforms if I switch the publishing tab. I republished in the original tab and it should appear now.
Enjoyed the chat. I think people never mention the moon when they talk about “going to space” …it’s soooo close (relatively). I think we need to start international discussions about the preservation of the moon’s face immediately.
Elites? Outside of tech, engineering, and the hard sciences, where merit (hopefully) rules, who are the elites? Is it the ten or twelve thousand wealthiest families in America, the so-called donor class, who bankroll both political parties and control all the major institutions in our society, or is it the people they choose to run and populate these institutions: the congressmen, governors, CEO's, lawyers, judges, editors, pundits, university presidents, foundation heads, and the like?
Also, when you talk about talent flows, don't we need to distinguish between competence and character?
The interview portion with Tyler sounds to be mono coming out of just the left channel.
Fixed!
Is this available on a podcast platform?
